FAQs

Whether you’re purchasing a home, refinancing your mortgage, completing a HELOC, or signing another real estate transaction, understanding what to expect can help your appointment go smoothly. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about mobile loan signing services.

What is a loan signing agent?

A loan signing agent is a notary who is also certified and background screened to facilitate real estate-related loan signings.

What identification is required?

Valid government-issued identification is required to verify the signer’s identity.

How does a loan signing take?

Depending on the size and type of the loan package – between 30 to 60 minutes.

Can you come to my home and office?

Absolutely! We can have the appointment at any location that is convenient for you.

Can you print my loan documents?

Yes I can. I will print two copies of the documents – one for you to keep and one to sign and return to the lender or title company.

Do I need to sign every document?

You must definitely sign anywhere that signifies that your signature or initials are required. Otherwise, the package will be rejected as incomplete. If you have a question about signing any of the documents, you would be advised to speak to your lender.

Can two borrowers sign at different times?

Most likely. We would need to verify with the lender or title company to confirm. There may be an issue if both borrowers don’t sign on the same date. If both borrowers are available on the same date, I can definitely go to two locations to get all of the signatures. Additional fees would apply for a multi-stop signing.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Absolutely! Appointments are available early morning, evenings and weekends.

Do you scan the documents back after the signing if requested?

Yes, scanning the documents back is included in my fee. Please advise if this is part of your request.
