By scheduling an appointment, requesting services, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions governing the services provided by Bennett Mobile Notary.
Appointment & Scheduling Policies
Cancellation Policy:
Ifyou need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 30 minutes’ notice prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations made more than 30 minutes before the appointment time: No fee.
Cancellations made less than 30 minutes before the appointment: The travel fee will be required.
Travel Fee Policy:
If the notary arrives at the scheduled location and the signing does not take place for any resason (including missing ID, unsigned or incorrect documents, unavailable signers, refusal to sign, or client unpreparedness), the travel fee will be required.
Correctional Facility Cancellations:
For notarization appointments at correctional or detention facilities, a $75 facility visit fee will be required if the signing does not take place for any reason once the appointment has been scheduled or the notary has arrived. This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations, facility lockdowns, inmate unavailability, denied access, incomplete or incorrect documents, missing identification, refusal to sign, or facility-related delays or restrictions beyond the notary’s control.

Appointment Wait Time:
To stay on schedule for all clients, I provide a 15-minute grace period. If I am required to wait longer than 15 minutes, a wait fee of $35 per 15 minutes will apply. Extended delays may require rescheduling and a travel fee.
Pricing, Deposits & Payment
Fees are based on the services requested, travel distance, document type, urgency, and any applicable government filing fees.
Payment is due at the completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Certain services, including document retrieval, apostille processing, White Glove Document Services, and larger projects, may require a deposit before work begins.
Refusal of Service
Bennett Mobile Notary reserves the right to refuse service when:
• Proper identification cannot be provided.
• A signer appears unwilling or unable to understand the document.
• Fraud, coercion, or illegal activity is suspected.
• California notary law prohibits completion of the notarization.
Customer Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate appointment information.
- Having acceptable identification as required by California law.
- Ensuring documents are complete and ready for notarization.
- Having all required signers present and willing to sign.
Notary Limitations
Bennett Mobile Notary complies with all California notary laws.
A notary public cannot:
- Provide legal advice
- Choose documents for a client
- Explain legal consequences
- Advise which documents to sign
- How to complete documents
- Recommend which notarization is required
Apostille & Document Services
Apostille processing times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed because they depend on government agencies and third-party carriers.
Bennett Mobile Notary is not responsible for delays caused by:
- Secretary of State processing
- Court processing
- County Clerk processing
- Shipping carriers
- Foreign embassies or consulates
Limitation of Liability
Bennett Mobile Notary is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect information provided by clients, incomplete documents, government processing delays, or circumstances beyond our control.
